CHOIR HOUSE

Our Mission

House Theatre offers a comprehensive choral program for Lowcountry homeschoolers, providing a structured and enriching environment where students develop vocal excellence. Our goal is to train students not only in choral performance but also in sight-singing, vocal health, musicianship, and a lifelong love of music—all while honoring the Lord through worshipful and wholesome performances.

You Are Invited

From 1st to 12th grade, students are invited to join vocal ensembles that grow with them. Our centralized program allows students to progress through increasingly advanced choirs, ensuring continuous musical and personal development. Homeschoolers in House ensembles sing full-length concerts and perform publicly at various community events, creating meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.

What We Will Do

  • Train students in challenging choral repertoire and advanced vocal techniques.

  • Teach sight-singing, music theory, vocal health, and cultural musicianship.

  • Offer structured ensemble opportunities that mirror public school choral programs while upholding biblical values.

  • Foster a Christ-centered musical education that builds community and excellence.

Choir Options

House offers three unique choir options tailored to different age groups:

  • Elementary Chorale (1st - 5th grade): Focuses on music theory fundamentals, vocal intonation, and healthy choral technique. Students perform in winter and spring concerts.

  • Junior Chorale (6th - 8th grade): Builds on prior experience with a deeper emphasis on music theory, sight-reading, intonation, and technique. No prior experience is required.

  • Senior Chorale (9th - 12th grade): Incorporates theory workbooks, sight-singing, self-conducting, and advanced vocal techniques to refine musicianship.

Each level is designed to build upon previous knowledge while welcoming new learners at any stage. Music education is a lifelong skill, and we are committed to fostering each student’s growth no matter their starting point.

Opportunities

  • Perform in full-length concerts featuring choral music.

  • Sing at public venues such as sporting events and retirement homes.

  • Access the same choral performance and vocal scholarship opportunities available to public school students.

  • Grow musically and spiritually alongside peers in a supportive, faith-based environment.
